Meet Dr. Tran and Dr. Nguyen
Binh B. Tran, D.D.S.
Dr. Tran knew at a very young age that dentistry was her calling. She remembers flossing her Dad’s teeth at a very young age and has kept all of her baby and extracted teeth since childhood. Dr. Tran went to college at the University of California-Riverside and graduated with a bachelor of science in Biochemistry. She went on to pursue dentistry at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. At Creighton, Dr Tran received extensive training in operative dentistry with an emphasis on taking care of the underserved in Nebraska. Dr. Tran also practiced in Portland, Oregon prior to moving to Tucson in 2001. Prior to focussing her full attention on her practice, she was attending faculty for Lutheran Medical Center’s Advance Education in General Dentistry Program Residency program. Dr. Tran enjoys all phases of dentistry with an emphasis on children and the special needs. In addition, she works with local dental anesthesiologists and treats children, adults, and the special needs under IV sedation.
Both Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Tran grew up in San Diego but have made Tucson their home since 2001. After working in various group practices, they began their own practice in 2006. Because of their genuinely caring and pleasant manner, many patients have been taken care of by both doctors for almost 15 years. As a husband and wife team, the doctors work together to ensure the best outcomes for their patients. Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Tran are experienced at seeing patients of all ages and those who are are medically compromised, have anxiety about dental treatment, and the special needs. Their goal is to make dental care comfortable and place patient care of utmost importance.
Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Tran stay up to date in the latest advances in dentistry. They enjoy taking advance restorative courses at the Spear Institute and at USC School of Dentistry. The doctors work closely with local dental specialists to provide the best care possible for their patients.
T. Paul Nguyen, D.M.D.
Dr. Nguyen graduated from the University of California-Santa Barbara with majors in English and Biological Sciences. While in college, Dr. Nguyen worked as a residential counselor for developmentally disabled and emotionally challenged adolescents and teens at the Devereaux Foundation. It was at Devereaux that Dr. Nguyen became interested in healthcare specifically dentistry. He saw how his special needs clients lacked access to dental care and were fearful when receiving dental work. He hoped that one day he would make dentistry less fearful and less painful for all patients. He went on to pursue dentistry at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a DMD degree in 2001. After graduation in 2001, Dr. Nguyen came to Tucson to gain more experience in Oral Surgery and Hospital Dentistry at Kino Community Hospital and received a General Practice Residency Certificate (GPR) there in 2002. Dr Nguyen has been faculty for the GPR program at Kino Community Hospital, Lutheran Medical Center’s Advance Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency Program and adjunct faculty for AT Still Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health prior to focussing his full attention to his private practice. Dr. Nguyen enjoys practicing all phases of dentistry.
